S. Dakota State shuts down Indiana State 41-0
BROOKINGS, S.D. — Ryan Crawford went 21 of 27 and threw for 239 yards to lead South Dakota State to a shutout of Indiana State 41-0 in the first conference game of the season for both teams.
Crawford connected for a touchdown in each half and accounted for almost all of the Jackrabbits’ passing yards while South Dakota State (2-0, 1-0 Missouri Valley) dominated the Sycamores (0-4, 0-1) on almost every front.
Kyle Minett rushed for one touchdown and caught a Crawford pass for another. He also ran for 95 yards.
Tyler Duffy and Jordan Paula rushed for a touchdown apiece, and Kyle Harris completed two field goals.
The Jackrabbits’ defense kept Indiana State to just five first downs.
It was the second consecutive week Indiana State failed to score. The last time in the school’s history that happened was 1999.
