Havens throws for 329 yards and two touchdowns in Massachusetts 30-10 win over Rhode Island

Massachusetts beats Rhode Island 30-10
AMHERST, Mass. — Kyle Havens threw for two first-half touchdowns and Massachusetts defeated Rhode Island 30-10 on Saturday.
Havens, who averaged 11 yards a pass, was 22 of 30 for 329 yards.
After scoring passes of 4 and 5 yards, and a 3-yard TD rush by Tony Nelson, the Minutemen (2-1) led 21-0 at halftime in the Colonial Athletic Association opener for both teams.
Nelson rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries for Massachusetts. Victor Cruz added 96 yards and a touchdown on six catches for the Minutemen.
Massachusetts had 491 total yards of offense, while holding Rhode Island to 25 rushing yards.
Chris Paul-Etienne was 20 of 39 for 198 yards and an interception for the Rams (1-1).
