James Madison defeats VMI 44-16
HARRISONBURG, Va. — Mike Caussin had 145 yards receiving and two touchdowns to lead James Madison to a 44-16 win over Virginia Military Institute on Saturday night.
Caussin, who finished with three catches, pulled in a 65-yard pass from Drew Dudzik with 7:14 left in the first quarter for the Dukes (1-1). He also caught a 26-yard touchdown from Dudzik with 4:21 left in the third.
Dudzik was 9 of 13 for 214 yards for James Madison.
Rockeed McCarter caught eight passes for 168 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown catch from Dudzik to give the Dukes a 31-10 lead with 6 seconds left in the second quarter.
Howard Abegash led VMI (1-1) with 15 carries for 79 yards. Kyle Hughes completed 4-of-5 passes for 110 yards for the Keydets.
