Citadel rolls past Presbyterian 46-21
CHARLESTON, S.C. — Bart Blanchard threw six touchdown passes to lead Citadel to a 46-21 victory over Presbyterian on Saturday night.
Blanchard, who had one touchdown pass in two games this season, threw four to Andre Roberts, who had 12 catches for 184 yards, and two to Alex Sellars.
Blanchard was 20-for-30 for 263 yards and two interceptions.
The Bulldogs (2-1) led 20-14 until Blanchard hit Sellars on 5-yard scoring pass with 7:48 left in the third quarter.
Blanchard then connected with Roberts on touchdown passes of 40 and 14 yards to build a 40-14 lead with 11:56 left.
Roberts caught first-half touchdown passes of 7 and 11 yards and Sellars caught a 25-yard touchdown pass in the first half.
Miguel Starks also rushed for 103 yards for the Bulldogs.
Trandon Dendy led Presbyterian (0-4) with a career-high 147 yards and a 40-yard touchdown run.
