Jacksonville State beats Nicholls State 60-10

THIBODAUX, La. — Ryan Perrilloux, playing in Louisiana for the first time since LSU dismissed him in May 2008, threw four touchdowns and ran for another to lead Jacksonville State to a 60-10 victory over Nicholls State on Saturday.

A career-long 38-yard touchdown run by Perrilloux stretched the lead to 53-3 to open the fourth quarter. He was 14-for-22 for 250 yards and left the game before the Gamecocks scored again.

Jacksonville State’s Jamal Young returned the second-half kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown and a 34-3 lead, giving the Gamecocks (2-2) three consecutive quick scores.

Perrilloux threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Greg Smith with 1:22 left in the first half and Nicholls State fumbled on the ensuing kickoff return. Perrilloux threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to James Wilkerson with 33 seconds left in the half.
