Alabama A&M beats Arkansas-Pine Bluff 28-7
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Ulysses Banks scored the game’s first two touchdowns and Alabama A&M beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 28-7 on Saturday.
Banks rushed for 177 yards on 34 carries and scored on runs of 3 and 6 yards.
The Bulldogs (3-1, 1-0 Southwest Athletic Conference) also were effective through the air, with Kevin Atkins passing for 218 yards and two touchdowns. Atkins hit Thomas Harris on a 23-yard touchdown pass for a 21-0 lead in the second quarter. He also passed 11 yards to Jared Bing for another score in the third quarter.
Raymond Webber caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from Rontrell Bailey in the second quarter for the only score for the Golden Lions (2-2, 1-1).
The Golden Lions gained only 157 yards of total offense, with 10 yards rushing on 16 carries.
