Receiver Poots hauls in 11 passes for 120 yards as Southern Utah tops Texas State 38-16

Poots leads Southern Utah over Texas State 38-16
CEDAR CITY, Utah — Tysson Poots caught 11 passes for 120 yards and a touchdown and Akeem Anifowoshe returned a fumble 99 yards for a score as Southern Utah defeated Texas State 38-16 Saturday.
Cade Cooper completed 27 of 42 passes for 256 yards and three TDs to help the Thunderbirds (2-3) end a three-game losing streak.
Karrington Bush led the Bobcats (2-2) with 82 rushing yards.
Anifowoshe’s fumble return is the longest in school history and the first returned for a touchdown against Texas State since 2004 (Baylor).
Major Gray added 93 rushing yards and a TD for Southern Utah.
