Meyer: Tebow will play if he gets medical OK
BATON ROUGE, La. — Florida coach Urban Meyer says Tim Tebow will play Saturday night at No. 4 LSU if the quarterback receives medical clearance.
Meyer said on ESPN’s “GameDay” show on Saturday that Tebow is “dying to play.”
Tebow suffered a concussion Sept. 26 in win at Kentucky and has spent the last two weeks recovering. Meyer said all week that the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner has performed well on his tests. Doctors wanted to see how Tebow handled the flight to Baton Rouge before making a final decision.
Meyer said Tebow “looked good” Friday night.
