Liberty runs over Coastal Carolina 58-13
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Aldreakis Allen ran for three touchdowns and Liberty routed Coastal Carolina 58-13 on Saturday.
It was the 12th straight Big South Conference win for the Flames. The last time the Flames lost in the conference was Oct. 28, 2006, to Coastal Carolina.
Allen rushed for 106 yards and scored on runs of 1, 14 and 13 yards for the Flames (4-2, 1-0). With the game tied at 3 in the first quarter, the Flames went on a 55-3 scoring binge to break open the game.
The Flames piled up 300 yards rushing and SirChauncey Holloway scored two touchdowns on runs of 1 and 14 yards. Danny Broggin added 91 yards rushing, including an 82-yard touchdown.
The Chanticleers (3-3, 1-1), got their only touchdown on a 6-yard pass from Jamie Childers to Akeem Wesley with 42 seconds remaining in the game.
