Higgins throws 5 touchdowns as Weber State defeats Sacramento State 49-10

Higgins’ 5 TDs lead Weber State to 49-10 victory
OGDEN, Utah — Cameron Higgins threw for 290 yards and five touchdowns, three of them to Tim Toone, as Weber State defeated Sacramento State 49-10 Saturday.
Toone finished with eight catches for 154 yards and reached the end zone on a 95-yard punt return which set a school and Big Sky Conference record.
Jason Smith threw for 137 yards for Sacramento State (2-4, 2-2). The Hornets’ lone touchdown came on a 12-yard pass from Smith to Brian Heath with 2 minutes left in the second quarter.
The Wildcats (4-3, 4-1) scored on their first possession when Higgins hit Toone with a 25-yard TD pass which moved Toone past the 3,000-yard receiving mark for his career. He is the first WSU receiver to reach the milestone and the seventh in Big Sky history.
Higgins’ two other TD passes were to Mike Phillips (30 yards) and Joe Collins (3). Bo Bolen added a 12-yard scoring run.
