Liberty runs over Presbyterian 55-19
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Andreakis Allen and SirChauncey Holloway each ran for two touchdowns, and Liberty beat Presbyterian 55-19 on Saturday.
Holloway, who rushed for 99 yards, scored on runs of 4 and 14 yards. Allen ran for 92 yards, with touchdown runs of 2 and 14 yards.
Tommy Beecher was 15-for-17 with 159 yards passing for the Flames (6-2, 3-0 Big South). Beecher threw touchdown passes of 6 and 8 yards to Will Quarles. Beecher also scored on a 5-yard run.
The Blue Hose (0-8, 0-5) were held without a touchdown until the final nine minutes of the game. Brandon Miley threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Michael Ruff and a 29-yarder to Sean Adegbola.
Presbyterian has lost 11 in a row. The last team the Blue Hose beat was Liberty, 31-28, in the ninth game of the 2008 season. It was the fifth game this season in which Presbyterian allowed at least 40 points.
