Chad Kackert runs for 2 TDs and 176 yards to lift New Hampshire past Northeastern 48-21

New Hampshire beats Northeastern 48-21
DURHAM, N.C. — Chad Kackert ran for two touchdowns and 176 yards in New Hampshire’s 48-21 win over Northeastern on Saturday.
Kackert scored on a 15-yard run with 7:07 left in the first quarter and again on a 22-yard run early in the second to help lead the Wildcats (7-1, 4-1 Colonial Athletic Association) to a 34-7 advantage in the fourth quarter.
New Hampshire finished with 461 yards of offense, including 281 yards on the ground.
Sean Jellison had 74 yards and a touchdown on five carries for the Wildcats and R.J. Toman was 11 of 22 with 131 yards and one touchdown. New Hampshire’s Scott Sicko caught seven passes for 96 yards and a touchdown.
Northeastern (1-7, 1-4) was led by John Griffin with 132 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. Matt Carroll finished with 110 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 12-of-17 passing for the Huskies.
