Old Dominion knocks off Georgetown 31-10

NORFOLK, Va. — Thomas DeMarco rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns and threw for another score to lead Old Dominion to a 31-10 victory over Georgetown on Saturday night.

DeMarco scored on runs of 51, 15 and 6 yards as the Monarchs (7-2) won their fourth consecutive game. He was also 6-for-11 for 79 yards and threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Reid Evans.

Desmond Williams added 113 yards on the ground and Mario Crawford rushed for 66 yards to help Old Dominion finish with 340 yards rushing on 50 attempts.

DeMarco’s 51-yard run gave the Monarchs a 24-3 lead with 11:15 left in the first half. He then connected with Evans for a 31-3 halftime lead.

Charlie Houghton led Georgetown (0-8) with 112 yards on 19 carries. Scott Darby threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Floyd for the Hoyas’ only touchdown with 13:21 remaining in the game.
