Mason throws 2 TDs to Harris to lead Alabama A&M in 21-7 win over Alabama State

Alabama A&M beats Alabama State 21-7
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Deaunte Mason threw a pair of touchdown passes to Thomas Harris to lead Alabama A&M to a 21-7 win over Alabama State on Saturday.
Mason was 21-for-32 with 273 yards, two touchdowns passes and an interception for the Bulldogs (5-3, 2-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference). He also rushed for 49 yards on eight carries. Harris finished with seven catches for 157 yards and two scores.
With the score tied at 7 going into the second quarter, Mason and Harris connected on a 22-yard touchdown pass and Ulysses Banks had a 1-yard touchdown run for the Bulldogs’ final margin. Mason also threw a 57-yard touchdown pass on the game’s first offensive play.
Anthony Speight was 10-for-24 with 99 yards, one touchdown and an interception for the Hornets (4-4, 1-4). He also rushed for 40 yards on 14 carries.
