Brown beats Yale 35-21
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Kyle Newhall-Caballero threw two touchdown passes and ran for another, and Brown steamrolled one of the nation’s best defenses for nearly 500 yards in a 35-21 win over Yale on Saturday.
Brown (5-3, 3-2 Ivy League) scored on Kyle Newhall-Caballero’s 10-yard pass to Buddy Farnham in the second quarter for a 7-0 lead.
Yale (4-4, 2-3) answered with Mordecai Cargill’s 41-yard touchdown reception to cut the lead to 7-6.
Adam Money’s 77-yard interception return for a touchdown — the fourth-longest interception return in Yale history — put the Bulldogs in front 12-7.
Newhall-Caballero scored on a 5-yard run for a 14-12 halftime lead.
In the third, Newhall-Caballero hit Farnham for a 30-yard touchdown. On the Bears’ next possession, Spiro Theodhosi scored on a 16-yard run.
Bobby Sewall’s 3-yard touchdown run gave Brown a 35-15 lead early in the fourth quarter.
