Cowboys LB Ware active, Saints TE Shockey out

NEW ORLEANS — Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware is suiting up for the game against unbeaten New Orleans.

The Cowboys decided to let Ware dress for Saturday night’s matchup at the Superdome. He was listed as questionable earlier this week after straining his neck in a headfirst collision last Sunday against San Diego.

The Saints scratched tight end Jeremy Shockey and defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis.

Shockey injured his toe during last weekend’s win at Atlanta, but practiced on a limited basis throughout the week. Ellis sat out practice with a sore left knee.

Also inactive for the Saints were kicker John Carney and safety Usama Young. Dallas did not have any starters inactive.
