Packers raising ticket prices for 2010

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers will raise ticket prices by an average of $9 per ticket next season.

The Packers announced the decision on Friday. Some areas will pay as much as $11 more per game depending on where the seats are in Lambeau Field.

It’s the first increase since the 2007 season, but Packers president and chief executive Mark Murphy says the increase is required because of economic conditions and the competitiveness of the franchise.

Murphy also points out that current ticket prices fell to 30th among NFL franchises over the last three seasons.

Green Bay has sold out 285 straight games and has a waiting list for season tickets with more than 81,000 names on it. The Packers went 11-5 this season, but lost in the NFC wild card round 51-45 to Arizona.
