Former Texas Tech coach Leach to be deposed Friday
LUBBOCK, Texas — Mike Leach has been scheduled to answer questions under oath later this week in the former football coach’s lawsuit against Texas Tech.
Court documents say the deposition by attorneys for Texas Tech is set for Friday. Leach’s attorney, Ted Liggett, did not immediately return a call seeking comment Monday.
The university fired Leach on Dec. 30, two days after suspending him amid allegations that he mistreated a player who had a concussion. His lawsuit includes allegations of libel and slander and breach of contract.
Leach has denied he mistreated receiver Adam James.
