Cameroon, Denmark 1-1 at halftime
PRETORIA, South Africa — Cameroon and Denmark were tied 1-1 at halftime in the World Cup after Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner finished off a well-worked move to answer Samuel Eto’o’s earlier goal.
Eto’o had given Cameroon the lead in the 10th minute, following a mix-up in the Danish defense.
Eto’o slotted the ball past goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen after Christian Poulsen’s pass to Simon Kjaer was intercepted.
Bendtner tied the match in the 33rd minute after Dennis Rommedahl found the Arsenal forward in the penalty area.
Both teams had chances to take the lead in a back-and-forth close to the half.
