Perry lifts Delaware past James Madison 13-10

HARRISONBURG, Va. — Mike Perry kicked a 28-yard field goal with 3 seconds remaining to give Delaware a 13-10 win over James Madison on Saturday.

Perry’s kick capped a 14-play, 69-yard drive which lasted 6:42 as the Blue Hens (5-0, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association) snapped a three-game losing streak at James Madison.

Delaware, which had 16 first downs compared to 12 by the Dukes (3-1, 0-1), had five on the final drive.

Trevor Sasek threw four passes and had a run for 12 yards as the Blue Hens marched down field for the win. Sasek came in for starting quarterback Pat Devlin, who suffered a concussion on Delaware’s second play. Sasek finished with 124 yards on 13-for-21 passing.

Sasek also threw three passes for first downs on the tying drive, which resulted in a 47-yard field goal by Perry 4 seconds into the fourth quarter and a 10-10 score.
