SINGAPORE - India’s Somdev Devvarman will be the top seed while Japanese Go Soeda has been ranked second in the main draw of the Singapore ATP Challenger at the Kallang Tennis Centre beginning Sunday.

Somdev, ranked 108th in world, lost in the first round of the Australian Open against Spain’s Tommy Robredo.

The Indian said he is looking forward to playing some good tennis.

“The seedings don’t matter to me. There are lot good players in the event and it is very important to focus and play my own game. I’ll be taking on one match at a time. I have been hitting well lately and hope to win as many matches as possible”, Somdev said after the release of the draw Sunday.

Another Indian Karan Rastogi has got a wild card in the ATP Challenger Tour tournament which returns to Singapore after a decade.

In the first round Devvarman will take on Thai wild card Peerakiat Siriluethaiwattana, while Rastogi will face Aussie Brydan Klein, ranked 214.
