Rooney’s boots stolen ahead of Champions League final

ROME - Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney’s boots have been stolen hours before the Champions League Final.
United chiefs were frantically trying to organise a replacement pair in time for tonight’s clash with Barcelona in Rome.
Rooney’s sponsors Nike had flown in a specially-made pair of T90 laser boots for the striker to wear. But the England star, 23, was stunned when told a thief had intercepted the delivery, reports The Sun.
Roo had planned to wear the boots in training yesterday, but instead was forced to use an old pair.
A United source said: “Everyone is staggered that someone would actually steal Rooney’s football boots. They were signed for at the airport and were being couriered to the team hotel when they were intercepted.” (ANI)
