PETA: NH has veggie-friendliest minor-league park
MANCHESTER, N.H. — People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals says the portobello mushroom salad and grilled vegetable sandwiches are among the home runs at the minor league ballpark in Manchester, N.H.
For the second year in a row, the MerchantsAuto.com Stadium, home of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, is No. 1 in PETA’s annual ranking of the top 10 vegetarian-friendly minor-league ballparks.
Visitors can get vegetarian burgers, veggie dogs, wraps and various salads.
Among major league parks, Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia tops PETA’s list for the third year in a row. Phillies fans can snack on Southwestern black-bean burgers, mock crab cake salad, veggie hot dogs and even meatless Philly cheesesteaks.
