Kentucky freshman linebacker Huzzie out for year
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky freshman linebacker Qua (kway’)Huzzie will miss the entire 2009 season with a shoulder injury.
Coach Rich Brooks says Huzzie, who will have surgery on the shoulder, will be redshirted. Brooks had expected him to play this year.
Huzzie was the leading tackler at LaGrange (Ga.) High before joining the Wildcats and Brooks had been impressed with his performance during practice.
Ronnie Sneed, Mikhail Mabry and Antonio Thomas are all competing to provide depth at linebacker behind starters Micah Johnson, Sam Maxwell and Danny Trevathan.
