MANHATTAN, Kan. — Kelsey Griffin’s career-high 36 points helped spark a second-half rally, and No. 3 Nebraska beat Kansas State 82-72 Saturday to become the first Big 12 team to roll unbeaten through an entire regular season.

The Huskers (29-0, 16-0) trailed the short-handed Wildcats by as many as 11 points in the first half and faced a surprising 45-38 deficit at intermission.

But with Griffin leading the way, Nebraska unleashed an 18-3 run and seized a 56-48 lead less than 5 minutes into the second half. The Wildcats (13-17, 5-11) only had seven healthy players and never recovered despite 24 points from Ashley Sweat.

Nebraska and No. 1 UConn are the only unbeaten teams in Division I women’s basketball.

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — Nnemkadi Ogwumike had 22 points and 14 rebounds and Stanford completed its first unbeaten run through the Pac-10 schedule since 2002.

The Cardinal (28-1, 18-0 Pac-10) played without All-American center Jayne Appel, who was sidelined with a sprained right ankle that requires a walking boot. She was hurt in practice during the week and it’s unclear how long she will be out.

Alexis Gray-Lawson scored 15 points for Cal (17-12, 11-7).

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) — Alyssia Brewer scored 15 points and the Lady Vols rolled into the Southeastern Conference tournament title game.

Tennessee (29-2) has won 13 straight to move within one victory of a sweep of the SEC regular-season and tournament championships, something it has accomplished six times. The Lady Vols will play Kentucky or Mississippi State for the title on Sunday night.

Angie Bjorklund added 12 points for Tennessee.

Hannah Tuomi had 12 points for Vanderbilt (22-10) before fouling out.

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — Atlantic 10 Player of the Year Amber Harris had 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Musketeers to their 16th straight victory.

April Phillips added 17 points and Special Jennings scored 10 of her 12 points in the first half for Xavier (25-3), which reached an A-10 tournament semifinal against Charlotte on Sunday.

Brittani Shells scored 21 for the Spiders (19-12).

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Erica Williamson scored 16 points to lead five Irish players in double figures in the second round of the Big East tournament.

Skyler Diggins had 13 points and Deveraux Peters added 11. The Irish (26-4) will play No. 16 St. John’s in the quarterfinals on Sunday.

Monique Reid had 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead Louisville. The Cardinals finished the season 14-17 a year after losing in the national championship game to Connecticut.

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Jasmine Thomas scored all 10 of her points in the second half and the Blue Devils (26-5) used a late 20-7 run to reach the ACC tournament title game.

Alex Montgomery had 19 points and 12 rebounds for Georgia Tech (22-9), which hasn’t beaten Duke since 1994 and was denied its first berth in the ACC championship game since 1994.

Five-time ACC champion Duke is in the title game for the 11th time and the third time in coach Joanne P. McCallie’s three seasons.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Samantha Prahalis scored 29 points and Jantel Lavender added 27 to help No. 10 Ohio State beat Wisconsin in a Big Ten tournament semifinal.

Lavender, the Big Ten player of the year, also had nine rebounds and three blocks. Tayler Hill added 14 points and six rebounds for Ohio State, which won all three games against Wisconsin this season.

The Buckeyes (29-4) will defend their tournament championship Sunday against Iowa, which beat No. 25 Michigan State 59-54 in the early game.

Alyssa Karel scored a career-high 31 points and made all five of her 3-pointers for Wisconsin (21-8). Lin Zastrow scored 14 points and Teah Gant added 12 for the Badgers.

AMES, Iowa (AP) — Kelsey Bolte scored 19 points, freshman Anna Prins added 12 and the Cyclones locked up the No. 2 seed in next week’s Big 12 tournament.

Iowa State (23-6, 11-5) won without senior star Alison Lacey, who has been battling a bronchial illness. Lacey started as a ceremonial gesture on Senior Day before sitting down.

Alyssa Fressle had 10 points to lead Colorado (13-16, 3-13), which finished the regular season with 11 losses in 12 games.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Danielle Adams scored 18 points, Tanisha Smith added 16 and No. 15 Texas A&M earned a win over Kansas.

The Aggies shot 44 percent en route to their third straight win. Texas A&M also forced 30 turnovers, including 20 in the first half.

Texas A&M (22-7, 10-6) is still vying for the fourth seed in the Big 12 Tournament that starts Thursday.

Without three of its top offensive players — all of whom are injured — Kansas (15-14, 5-11) never managed a consistent offensive attack. Aishah Sutherland led Kansas with 13 points.

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) — Kentucky rallied after trailing by 14 points in the second half to beat Mississippi State and reach its second SEC tournament title game.

A’dia Mathies scored 25 points, including 18 in the second half, and Victoria Dunlap added 22 for No. 19 Kentucky (25-6). The Wildcats will play No. 4 Tennessee on Sunday night.

Kentucky won the 1982 title in its only other appearance in the championship game. Tennessee, the regular-season champion, will play for its 14th tournament title.

Mississippi State (19-12) led 35-24 at halftime.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Kachine Alexander had 14 points and 10 rebounds, helping Iowa beat No. 25 Michigan State in the Big Ten tournament semifinals.

Kamille Wahlin added 13 points, and Jaime Printy and Trisha Nesbitt each scored 10 for the third-seeded Hawkeyes (19-12), who advanced to play No. 10 Ohio State in Sunday’s championship game. Iowa last reached the tournament final nine years ago and won titles in 1997 and 2001.

Aisha Jefferson had 23 points for No. 2 seed Michigan State (22-9), which had its seven-game winning streak snapped. The Spartans were seeking their first finals berth since winning the tournament in 2005.

MACON, Ga. (AP) — TaRonda Wiles hit a baseline jumper in the final seconds, and top-seeded East Tennessee State beat North Florida 63-62 in the Atlantic Sun title game.

Siarre Evans had 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Bucs (23-8), Wiles finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Tarita Gordon also had 14 points.

Sophomore guard Brittany Kirkland had 15 points for the Ospreys (12-20).

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Nicole Jamen led five Lady Govs in double figures with 19 points, and Austin Peay beat Eastern Illinois 69-60 for the Ohio Valley Conference tournament title.

The Lady Govs (15-17) clinched their seventh championship, second only to Tennessee Tech’s league-best nine. The Panthers (23-10) came in having won the regular season title.

Ashley Herring had 15 for Austin Peay, while Jasmine Rayner and Whitney Hanley each added 12. Ta’Kenya Nixon led Eastern Illinois with 22 points and Maggie Kloak had 14.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Freshman forward Niveen Rasheed had 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Princeton beat Harvard 78-66 to win its first outright Ivy League title since 1978 and wrap up a berth in the NCAA tournament.

The Tigers (25-2, 13-0) broke open a close game midway through the second half, using their stingy defense and an 8-0 run to put the Crimson (19-8, 10-3) away.

Emma Markley had 21 points and 10 rebounds for Harvard, her seventh double-double of the season. Victoria Lippert added 15 points and Brogan Berry had 13 points.
