Liberty routs West Virginia Wesleyan 45-7
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Aldreakis Allen ran for two touchdowns and Liberty ran over West Virginia Wesleyan 45-7 on Saturday.
Allen rushed for 112 yards and was one of four Flames who ran for touchdowns. The Flames (3-2) broke a 7-7 tie with 38 unanswered points largely on the strength of 264 yards rushing. Mike Brown scored on two of his three carries for Liberty.
B.J. Hayes scored on a 1-yard run and Danny Broggin scored on a 13-yard run for the Flames.
Tommy Beecher was 16-for-21 for 209 yards and one interception.
After Brown scored on a 27-yard run in the first quarter to give the Flames a 7-0 lead, the Bobcats (1-4) tied the score on a 6-yard pass from Zane Zebrasky to Jon Meadows.
Zebrasky was 13-for-23 for 157 yards and an interception.
