Eastern Kentucky rallies by Eastern Illinois 36-31
CHARLESTON, Ill. — Eastern Kentucky overcame an eight-point deficit by scoring three touchdowns in a span of 9:11 bridging the third and fourth quarters to beat Eastern Illinois 36-31 Saturday.
With Eastern Kentucky (3-1, 3-0 Ohio Valley) trailing 24-16, T.J. Pryor found Orlandus Harris for a 31-yard touchdown pass. Less than five minutes later, C.J. Walker scored on a 1-yard run. Then Jeremy Caldwell intercepted Jake Christensen’s pass at the Eastern Illinois 10-yard line and ran it in to put the Colonels up 36-24.
Pryor was 19 of 30 for 293 yards and touchdown passes to Harris and Ryan Aldrin. Harris caught five passes for 120 yards. Walker and Pryor also rushed for TDs.
Christensen went 21 of 35 for 294 yards and touchdown passes to Kenny Whittaker, Chavar Watkins and Chris Wright for the Panthers (4-1, 2-1). Mon Williams ran for a score.
