SE Louisiana beats Central Arkansas 25-21
HAMMOND, La. — Tyler Beatty threw for three touchdowns and Southeastern Louisiana defeated Central Arkansas 25-21 on Saturday.
Beatty connected with Chris Wilson on a 16-yard TD pass to give the Lions (5-3, 3-1 Southland Conference) a 25-19 lead with 8:18 to go.
Beatty had 297 yards on 23-of-35 passing and Wilson finished with 163 yards and two touchdowns on six catches.
The Lions led 17-10 on a 13-yard pass from Beatty to Kory Theodore late in the first half before the Bears (5-3, 2-2) scored nine straight points.
Central Arkansas took a 19-17 lead after a 36-yard field goal by Eddie Carmona with 1:04 left in the third quarter. It was the fourth field goal for Carmona, who also had kicks of 33, 34 and 40 yards.
Robbie Park was 19 of 40 with 223 yards and three interceptions for the Bears.
