Norris’ 69-yard TD pass seals win, NEC title for Cent. Conn. St. with 20-19 win over Monmouth

Cent. Connecticut St. beats Monmnouth, NJ 20-19
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — Aubrey Norris threw a 69-yard touchdown pass to Josue Paul with 2:23 remaining, capping 20 fourth-quarter points for Central Connecticut State, as the Blue Devils rallied to beat Monmouth (N.J.) on Saturday.
The Blue Devils (8-2, 6-1 Northeast Conference) clinched their conference title with the win and Wagner’s loss today.
Trailing 19-0 going into the fourth quarter, Eric Richardson scored from 6 yards out on his only carry of the game to get the Blue Devils within 19-7.
Norris took over from there.
The Central Connecticut quarterback scored on a 4-yard run to pull within 19-13 with 3:12 to go, and then threw the game-winning TD pass less than a minute later.
Norris was 10-for-19 with 158 yards and also rushed for 39 yards for the Blue Devils. Paul finished with 131 yards receiving.
David Sinisi rushed for 201 yards and three TDs for Monmouth (5-5, 4-3).
