Texas DB Deon Beasley carted off field after hit
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Texas defensive back Deon Beasley has been carted off the field on a stretcher in the third quarter against Texas A&M.
Beasley, a cornerback playing on kickoff coverage Thursday night, collided with Aggies linebacker Anthony Lewis and immediately crumpled to the ground. The two players appeared to have helmet-to-helmet contact.
Lewis stayed down for a few moments but eventually was able to walk off the field aided by team trainers.
Although mostly immobilized when he left the field, Beasley was able to raise his arm to acknowledge the crowd.
