2 more charged in UConn stabbing case
STORRS, Conn. — Police investigating the stabbing death of University of Connecticut football player Jasper Howard have arrested two more people in the case.
UConn police on Thursday charged 22-year-old Rahim Muhammad, of Bloomfield, with hindering prosecution, tampering with evidence and interfering with police. Police say he moved or concealed evidence but would not elaborate.
Twenty-two-year-old Hadiyah Vanover, of Windsor, has been charged with tampering with a witness and interfering with police. He allegedly tried to coerce at least one witness into not cooperating.
It’s unclear if Muhammad and Vanover have lawyers.
Eight people have now been arrested in connection with the Oct. 18 stabbing.
