Evans scores 16, leads 4 in double figures as Wright State rolls over Sam Houston State 88-48

DAYTON, Ohio — N’Gai Evans scored 16 points to lead four Wright State players in double figures in an 88-48 rout of Sam Houston State on Monday night.
Todd Brown added 14 points for the Raiders (9-4), while Vaughn Duggins and John David Gardner had 12 points apiece.
Evans was 4-for-5 from beyond the arc for the Raiders, who finished 15-for-25 from 3-point range (60 percent).
The Bearkats (8-4) were just 5 of 19 from long range (26.3 percent).
Trailing 5-4 just over 5 minutes into the game, the Raiders went on a 24-2 run to take a commanding lead midway through the opening quarter.
Wright State led by 23 points at halftime and outscored the Bearkats 44-27 in the second half.
The Bearkats didn’t have a player in double figures, and shot just 28.8 percent from the floor (15-for-52). The Raiders shot 57.1 percent (32-for-56).
