Kennesaw State defeats Fordham 79-66

KENNESAW, Ga. — Markeith Cummings scored 27 points to lead Kennesaw State to a 79-66 victory over Fordham on Tuesday night.

LaDaris Green added 12 points, 15 rebounds and a career-high four blocks as the Owls (5-7) snapped a three-game losing streak.

Fordham (2-9), which has lost four straight games, led 43-37 with 16:37 left in the game, but Kennesaw State’s Spencer Dixon hit a 3-pointer, starting a 9-0 run and resulting in a 46-43 lead with 14:18 remaining.

Dixon, who finished with 10 points, scored on a tip-in to give the Owls a 66-56 advantage with 7:05 left in the game.

Kennesaw State finished the game on a 9-4 run.

Kurtis Woods added 14 points for the Owls, who outrebounded the Rams 45-36, with an 18-13 advantage on the offensive end.

Chris Gaston, a freshman, scored 26 points and had 12 rebounds, and Brenton Butler added 25 points for Fordham.
