Goudelock scores 22, Breeden 20 in College of Charleston’s 88-73 win over South Carolina State

College of Charleston defeats S.C. State 88-73
CHARLESTON, S.C. — Andrew Goudelock scored 22 points and Casaan Breeden added 20 to help the College of Charleston defeat South Carolina State 88-73 on Saturday.
Breeden was 8 of 10 from the field as the Cougars (7-6) shot 52.2 percent in the game (36 of 69).
College of Charleston jumped out to 14-2 lead on Donavan Monroe’s layup with 15:34 left in the first half and wasn’t threatened the rest of the way.
The Cougars outrebounded South Carolina State 40-31 with Jeremy Simmons grabbing nine.
Tyvon Williams led four players in double figures, scoring 17 points for the Bulldogs (6-5), who lost their third straight.
Jason Flagler and Arsenio Williams added 12 apiece for South Carolina State and Darnell Porter chipped in 11.
The Bulldogs were 4 of 18 from 3-point range (22.2 percent).
