Cowboys LT Adams leaves game with leg injury
MINNEAPOLIS — Dallas Cowboys left tackle Flozell Adams has left the NFC divisional playoff game against Minnesota in the second quarter with a leg injury. The team says his return is questionable.
It was not immediately clear when Adams was hurt Sunday, but it’s a big blow to the Cowboys offensive line. Doug Free replaced him and was charged with keeping Vikings sack specialist Jared Allen off of Tony Romo.
Adams is a 12-year veteran out of Michigan State while Free is in just his third year out of Northern Illinois. Free started the final seven games of the regular season at right tackle in place of the injured Marc Colombo. Colombo returned for the playoff victory last week over Philadelphia.
The Vikings were leading the Cowboys 17-3 in the third quarter.
