Weber State outlasts Idaho State 95-93 in 3OT

POCATELLO, Idaho — Damian Lillard hit a layup with 0.5 seconds left in triple overtime Saturday to lift Weber State to a 95-93 victory over Idaho State.

Lillard finished with 28 points for the Wildcats (11-7, 5-1 Big Sky). Franklin Session added 22 points, nine rebounds and four assists; Steve Panos had 21 points and seven rebounds; and Kyle Bullinger finished with 13 points.

The Bengals (4-14, 1-5) were led by Amorrow Morgan with 30 points. Broderick Gilchrest had 25 points and seven assists, and Austin Kilpatrick added 12 points and nine rebounds.

Morgan hit a jump shot with 1:02 left in the second overtime to tie it 82-82. Lillard’s 3-pointer at the buzzer missed.

In the first overtime, Gilchrest had a chance to end the game. But after hitting his first free throw with 0.7 seconds left to tie it at 74, he missed the second attempt.

The game was tied at 62 at the end of regulation.
