Oral Roberts edges North Dakota State 65-64
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Dominique Morrison scored seven of his 16 points in overtime to lead Oral Roberts to a 65-64 victory over North Dakota State in the Summit League tournament quarterfinals Sunday night.
The third-seeded Golden Eagles (20-12) face the league’s No. 2 seed, IUPUI, in Monday’s semifinals.
Morrison made a 3-pointer to open the overtime scoring and had seven of ORU’s nine in the period. He missed a free throw in the final seconds, giving North Dakota State a chance for the win, but Nate Zastrow’s shot missed for the Bison.
Warren Niles added 14 points and Michael Craion 10 for the Golden Eagles.
Michael Tveidt led North Dakota State (11-18) with 22 points. His basket with 14 seconds left in regulation tied it at 56. Eric Carlson scored 14 points and Sam Sussenguth 10 for the sixth-seeded Bison, who had rallied from a 13-point deficit in the second half.
