Ethier triples and has two RBIs for Dodgers
SURPRISE, Ariz. — Andre Ethier had a triple and two RBIs and Jason Repko homered as the Los Angeles Dodgers split squad rallied to beat the Texas Rangers 5-4 on Saturday.
Lucas May hit an RBI double and Xavier Paul and Ethier added run-scoring singles in the Dodgers’ three-run seventh to help the Dodgers turn a 3-2 deficit into a two-run lead against Rangers reliever Derek Holland.
Colby Lewis became the first Texas pitcher to log a five-inning start, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk with six strikeouts. David Murphy hit his first homer of the spring for the Rangers and added a triple in the fourth to finish 2 for 4.
Dodgers starter Josh Towers scattered three hits over four innings and gave up two earned runs.
