3 Indians minor-leaguers charged in Ohio bar fight
AKRON, Ohio — Police charged three minor-league Cleveland Indians players after a fight at an Ohio nightclub left one man with rib and lung injuries. One of the players is the son of Houston Astros manager Brad Mills.
Akron Aeros first baseman Beau Mills, Aeros outfielder Jerad Head and Columbus Clippers pitcher Josh Tomlin were charged Tuesday with assault in a June 3 fight at Whiskey Dick’s in Akron.
Mills and Head pleaded not guilty in Akron Municipal Court on Thursday.
No attorneys for the players are listed in court records. Messages for the players were sent by The Associated Press to the teams Friday morning.
