SACRAMENTO (GaeaTimes.com)- The video footage of the Sacramento Kings basketball player Tyreke Evans‘ prolonged dangerous driving escapade on Interstate 80 was released by the California Highway Patrol this Friday. The video that was shot from a plane during the Memorial Day weekend, shows the purple Mercedes speeding recklessly over the highway. It had acted as a proof previously to charge the player for his irresponsible driving in the court and now after its release by the CHP it is pointing at the sheer irresponsible behavior of the player outside the basketball court.
The video released by the California Highway Patrol shows Tyreke Evans speeding past other vehicles in the Interstate at an unimaginably high speed. The California Highway Patrol officers have said that Tyreke Evans was driving at a speed that was between 120 and 130 miles per hour. The officers have maintained that the high speed of the vehicle hints that Tyreke Evans was perhaps chasing another vehicle. However, the police has not been able to find the vehicle that Tyreke Evans was allegedly chasing. The vehicle was stopped by the California Highway Patrol police and the player was arrested on gunpoint.
The case of reckless driving that was brought against Tyreke Evans after the incident has already been resolved and reports claim that the player pleaded no contest to the charges that were brought against him. Tyreke Evans has been sentenced to 80 hours of community service. He has been ordered by the court to take part in teen driving programs and his driving license has been withdrawn for the 30 days. What action does the team plans to take against its player is still not known.
