Rangers recall 1B Chris Davis
ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers have recalled first baseman Chris Davis from Triple-A Oklahoma City following the RedHawks’ elimination from the Pacific Coast League playoffs.
Davis opened the season as a starter for the Rangers, but he struggled at the plate and was demoted on April 23.
In his third stint for the Rangers this season, Davis is batting .188 with no homers and three RBIs in 31 games for Texas. He hit .327 with 14 homers and 80 RBIs in 103 games for the RedHawks.
