White Sox starter Gavin Floyd leaves game early
OAKLAND, Calif. — Chicago White Sox pitcher Gavin Floyd has left his start against the Oakland Athletics after only seven pitches because of an apparent shoulder injury.
After Rajai Davis fouled off a 2-2 pitch in the first inning Monday night, Floyd called for his catcher, Ramon Castro, to visit the mound. The right-hander left the game immediately, grabbing his right shoulder and trying to loosen it as he walked off the field.
Tony Pena came in and got Davis to fly out to center field.
