Wizards’ McGee in, Blazers’ Bayless out of US camp

LAS VEGAS — USA Basketball has added Washington Wizards forward/center JaVale McGee to its minicamp roster.

The Americans also announced Wednesday that Portland guard Jerryd Bayless withdrew because he injured his left wrist during the NBA’s summer league.

McGee earned an invite after averaging 17.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and a league-best 4.0 blocks during four summer league games.

The players will practice Thursday and Friday before playing an intrasquad exhibition game Saturday night.
