Butler beats Morehead State 28-21 in overtime

MOREHEAD, Ky. — Andrew Huck threw four touchdowns, including the game-winner in overtime, and Butler overcame a 21-point deficit to beat Morehead State 28-21 on Saturday.

Huck, who passed for 208 yards, hit Eddie McHale on a 22-yard touchdown in overtime as the Bulldogs (4-0, 1-0 Pioneer League) scored 28 straight points in the second half for the win. Dan Bohrer also caught a 2-yard touchdown.

Zach Watkins caught 13 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns for Butler. Watkins now has seven touchdown catches and Huck has thrown 14 touchdowns this season.

Morehead State (2-2, 0-1) built a 21-0 lead in the first half, led by Evan Sawyer’s 60-yard touchdown pass to Donte Sawyer and a 28-yard passing score to Drew Morgan. Derek Harkness also returned an interception 63 yards for a touchdown for the Eagles.
