Iguodala and Young lead Sixers past Suns
MONTERREY, Mexico — Andre Iguodala scored 23 points and Thaddeus Young added 17 to help the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Phoenix Suns 116-94 on Sunday in Mexico.
The Suns had beaten the 76ers on Friday, handing Philadelphia its first loss in the preseason.
This marked the 18th time that the NBA has played a game in Mexico since 1992.
Jason Richardson scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half for Phoenix.
Philadelphia built a 13-point halftime lead and never looked back.
“We challenged our starters tonight and Andre realy took the bull by the horns and really took us to another level,” Philadelphia coach Eddie Jordan said. “Our defense was good, a lot more energy tonight and we sustained it in the second half.”
