Johnson scores 18 points to lead Mississippi State to 105-53 victory over St. Bonaventure

Mississippi State routs St. Bonaventure 105-53

STARKVILLE, Miss. — Ravern Johnson scored 18 points and four others finished in double figures to lead Mississippi State to a 105-53 victory over St. Bonaventure on Saturday.

Mississippi State (5-2) hit a school-record-tying 16 3-pointers and shot 59.7 percent from the field.

St. Bonaventure (4-3) shot 33.3 percent and finished 2-of-11 from beyond the arc.

The Bulldogs opened the game on a 16-2 run and led 56-22 at the half.

Kodi Augustus and Dee Bost scored 17 points each. Bost added eight rebounds and seven assists.

Jarvis Varnado added 14 points, eight rebounds and four blocks, and Barry Stewart chipped in 13 points.

Ogo Adegboye scored 13 points and Malcolm Elby added 10 points to lead the Bonnies. Andrew Nicholson, who leads St. Bonaventure this season with 16.3 points per game, finished 2-for-12 with four points.
