Howard leads Magic past Kings 109-88
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Dwight Howard had 30 points and 16 rebounds, and the Orlando Magic used a big run to open the fourth quarter and beat the Sacramento Kings 109-88 on Tuesday night.
Ryan Anderson started the 18-4 run with a 3-pointer on the opening possession of the quarter to give the Magic a 79-78 lead. Orlando just built on it from there, holding Sacramento to just one field goal in the first 7:14 of the period.
Howard’s dunk upped the lead to 10 points midway through the quarter and Mickael Pietrus’ layup capped the 18-4 run, giving Orlando a 94-82 lead.
Tyreke Evans scored 18 points and Beno Udrih added 15 for Sacramento, which was outscored 31-10 in the fourth quarter.
