North Dakota State downs Centenary 73-62

SHREVEPORT, La. — Eric Carlson had 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists to lead North Dakota State to a 73-62 victory over Centenary on Saturday.

Michael Tveidt added 14 points and eight rebounds, and the Bison (8-13, 5-6 Summit League) shot 60 percent from the field (15-for-25) in the second half to break open a game that was tied at halftime.

Tveidt scored all eight points during an 8-0 run to help North Dakota State take a 55-44 lead with 6:03 to play. He scored on three jumpers and a tip-in for the game’s only baskets in a 5-minute span.

Teammate Josh Vaughn hit a 3-pointer to increase the lead to 58-46 with 4:30 remaining.

Vaughn finished with 13 points and Nate Zastrow added 10 for the Bison, which swept Centenary (7-15, 2-9) this season. North Dakota State outrebounded Centenary 40-22.

Matt Marseille scored 13 and David Perez added 12 points for the Gents.
