Princeton holds off Columbia 55-45
PRINCETON, N.J. — Douglas Davis scored 15 points, knocking down 3 of 4 shots from 3-point range, to lead Princeton over Columbia 55-45 on Friday night.
Ian Hummer added 11 points and Zach Finley had 10 for the Tigers (14-5, 5-0 Ivy league), who have won seven straight games in cementing their spot atop the Ivy League after Cornell lost to Penn 74-64 on Friday.
Hummer also had a game-high nine rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot, while Finley added seven boards, three steals and a block.
The Lions led by three points at the break, but Princeton outscored them 31-18 to seal it in the second half.
Princeton’s bench outscored Columbia’s 29-8. The Tigers outscored the Lions 24-16 in the paint and 5-0 on the fast break.
Noruwa Agho led the Lions (8-13, 2-5) with 15 points and Max Craig added 10. The Lions have lost back to back games and seven of their last nine.
