North Dakota State pulls out a dramatic win over South Dakota State, 90-85 in 2 OT

North Dakota State works double OT, wins 90-85
BROOKINGS, S.D. — Eric Carlson had 24 points and 12 rebounds and North Dakota State outlasted South Dakota State 90-85 in double overtime Saturday night.
Josh Vaughan and Nate Zastrow scored 20 points each for the Bison (10-14, 7-7 Summit), and each kept their team alive with big 3-pointers.
The Bison led 29-21 at the half before the Jackrabbits came back and led most of the second half. But Zastrow’s 3-pointer with 5 seconds left tied the game at 66 and forced overtime.
Vaughn’s 3-pointer with 3 seconds left in the first extra period tied it at 74. The Bison never trailed in the second overtime, with Carlson scoring eight points.
Clint Sargent led the Jackrabbits (13-12, 9-5) with 24 points. Garrett Callahan had 11 points and Kai Williams and Nate Wolters 10 each.
Three players fouled out for each team and the teams combined to attempt 75 free throws.
